The Professors-Students Joint Committees
The Professors-Students Joint Committee (CPDS) represents a permanent monitoring unit on teaching activities and is internally governed by art. 5 ter of the University Teaching Regulations[1].
As part of the self-assessment process, the CPDS draws up an annual report in which, drawing on the SUA-CdS, the results of student opinion surveys and other institutionally available sources, the following are formulated:
- indication of opportunities for improvement and any proposals in relation to: effectiveness of the training activities of the Degree Programme and related teaching methods, teaching organisation of the Degree Programme (distribution of the study load, class schedules, etc.), teaching materials and aids and equipment, classrooms, laboratories and computer rooms, libraries and study rooms;
- indication of opportunities for improvement and any proposals regarding exams and final examinations/dissertations with reference to: validity of the methods for assessing the knowledge and skills acquired by students in relation to the expected learning outcomes, organisation and calendars of exams and graduation sessions;
- indication of opportunities for improvement and any proposals in relation to context services.
In the same report, the following are also verified:
- the completeness and effectiveness of the annual and cyclical monitoring of the degree programme carried out by the Review Group, as well as of the proposed interventions;
- the availability and correctness of the information available to the public (on the website of the degree programme, on the pages dedicated to the Faculty or on the University website), on the i-Catt page and in the public parts of the Single Annual Report Sheet of the Degree Programme (SUA-CdS).
The Report of the Professors-Students Joint Committee, which is presented and illustrated in the Faculty Council integrated by all its components, consists of a general part - carrying out a transversal analysis with respect to the Faculty - and individual chapters prepared for each degree programme delivered in the academic year of interest.
