Doctoral Programmes

The AVA 3 Model also introduces Doctoral Programmes into the QA System.
Ministerial Decree 226/2021 redefined the procedures for the accreditation of PhD campuses and programmes. The accreditation system is divided into the initial authorisation to activate PhD Programmes and the accreditation of the campuses where these are held, as well as the periodic verification of the permanence of the requirements established for these purposes.
The requirements, defined by ANVUR for the Periodic Accreditation of Doctoral Programmes comply with the indications of ESG and fulfill what is defined in art. 4, c. 1, l. g of Ministerial Decree 226/2021.
The Academic Board is responsible for the design and implementation of the Doctoral Programme; it defines the clear and articulated vision of the research training programme for doctoral students, taking into account the training objectives (both specific and transversal) and the available resources.
The Doctoral Programme makes use of the Guidelines and documentation to support the self-assessment, evaluation and review processes prepared by the PQA and participates in the training activities organised by the University and/or the PQA. The Academic Assessment Team verifies, also through audits, the overall status and the ways in which the doctoral programme ensures quality and monitors the progress of the research training programme.
