Principles of QA at Cattolica

The guiding criteria on which the University's quality policies are based have been formulated inspired by ESG, implemented by the Ministry of University and Research (MUR) within the Self-Assessment, Periodic Evaluation and Accreditation (AVA) system.

They specifically concern:

  1. the promotion and dissemination of a culture of evaluation and self-assessment that works to support the continuous improvement of the quality of training, research and third mission activities;
  2. a focus on the aspects of concrete improvement (monitoring, analysis, action and verification) in the management of the QA system;
  3.  the clear definition of the actors, processes, responsibilities, procedures and tools that, taken together, allow the implementation of QA policies and the achievement of the set objectives;
  4.  the encouragement of the active participation in the QA process of the entire academic community (students, teaching staff and technical-administrative staff) and of the main stakeholders outside the University (families, alumni and employers), both in terms of implementation and in terms of proposals;
  5. the enhancement of good practices and positive experiences gained in the various areas of QA process management, both internally and externally to the University.

The Quality Policies for Teaching, Research and Third Mission are identified and approved by the Academic Bodies through the definition of general guidelines, guiding criteria and organisational aspects set out in the University's Quality Assurance system.
