New guidelines for assessing research quality

The Ministry of Education has released the Guidelines for the evaluation of the quality of research (VQR) of universities and research institutions for the period 2015-2019: the document aims to meet the need to provide an updated picture of the entire evaluation process.  The Guidelines explain the parties involved, the methods and timing for starting the evaluation process as well as the methods for disseminating the results. In describing the general organization of the evaluation, the document clarifies the obligations of the Institutions, ANVUR, GEV for research products and for the activities of exploitation of research results (the so-called third mission).
