Towards a community of practices: meetings and contents of the QA training project
As part of the activities promoted by the University on the Quality Assurance system, the Quality Assurance Committee, in agreement with the Support Function of the Evaluation Team, presented the project "Training activities on Quality Assurance policies, system and processes", aimed at promoting and sharing training activities related to the University's QA system at the level of the individual Faculties. the first meeting took place on Wednesday 15 January 2020 from 15.00 to 16.30 in Milan, in room Santa Maria G130, also in connection with the Brescia, Piacenza and Rome campuses in the presence of teachers, students and technical-administrative staff directly involved in the quality assurance bodies and processes. The FormaAQ project was illustrated by Professors Giovanni Marseguerra and Andrea Gaggioli of the University Quality Assurance and Professors Carlo Galimberti and Pierpaolo Triani.
The second meeting of the FormaAQ program took place on Wednesday 5 February from 10 to 12 in Milan, in room Santa Maria G130, also in connection with the Brescia, Piacenza and Rome campuses. After Prof. Gaggioli's introduction (download slides), some professors in charge of QA of the faculties presented and described - with the aim of consolidating a community of practices on QA issues - some activities promoted by the individual faculties to solicit and promote, in all components of the University, a shared, substantial and not just bureaucratic knowledge of the QA system. The students present also illustrated a proposal to enhance their presence in the Faculty Council, in the Joint Commissions and in the Review Groups. Before the conclusion of the work, the structure and contents of the renewed AQ website (unicatt.it/assicurazione-qualita) and the Blackboard reserved area dedicated to the FormaQA project were also presented and shared.
Due to the Covid-19 emergency, the subsequent QA training activities were carried out online through the Blackboard platform:
On 16 April 2020 , the first FormAQ webinar was held on the topic "The new guidelines for the drafting of the SUA-CdS", which was attended, in addition to the project managers, by the QA professors of the Faculties and the administrative representatives for QA. In the webinar, the content of which is accessible in the virtual space, the new guidelines for the drafting of the SUA-CdS (with a particular focus on the revision and drafting of the frameworks relating to the expected learning outcomes) and the new initiatives of the FormAQ group were presented.
On 18 September 2020 , the second FormAQ webinar on the topic "The Joint Teachers' Committee" was held on Blackboard, to which the Presidents of the CPDS and at least one student from each CPDS were invited to participate.
During the meeting, the following topics were explored:
- Update on training/information initiatives for the CPDS: resources and proposals for intervention (Andrea Gaggioli, FormAQ Project, University Quality Assurance Committee);
- Illustration of the report of the non-anonymous evaluations of students' opinions (Gerardo Ferrari, Support Function to the Evaluation Team);
- Presentation of the content of the new Information Booklet (Riccardo Deriu, Planning Office);
- Plenary discussion on the ongoing experience of CPDS (Pierpaolo Triani, FormAQ Project)
During the meeting, two short videos developed by the FormAQ project were also presented, summarizing some points of attention regarding the substantial quality aspects related to the performance of the work of the Joint Teacher-Student Committee:
